There’s a great way to get your hands or your ears on a book when you don’t have the time to get to the library. The errand girl who will deliver your e-book or audio book to a device convenient to you is called Libby.
Libby has actually been around for about three years. It’s the more streamlined, more intuitive version of the Overdrive app that many library patrons had used to checkout e-books and audio books for years. Overdrive says Libby is a better experience, and they don’t mind promoting it, because they created it.
Libby allows users who have library cards in multiple jurisdictions to borrow across systems…yet access all the materials in one, easy place on their device. Libby, which is a shorthand way of saying “library”, is a free download from app stores for Android, iOS and Windows 10 devices.
